Durty Harry’s

In 1984, Mark Rossi purchased a small bar on the 200 block of Duval Street named Rick’s. What began as a small homey bar became a giant complex known today as The Rick’s/ Durty Harry’s Entertainment Complex. Now there are eight separate venues and thirteen bars.

If dancing is on the list of things to do, be sure to attend Rick’s Upstairs. Durty Harry’s is next to Rick’s Upstairs, and it has TVs so that sporting events won’t be missed on vacation while listening to live rock & roll music. The Tree Bar, which is also upstairs, is shaded by a giant tree. Fresh juices can be combined with premium spirits, and then it’s time to migrate to the next bar inside a bar.

Rick’s Down has the best live entertainment in town combined with some cheap yet potent drinks. The Crow’s Nest is a brand new VIP Bar and deck that overlooks Rick’s Down. The bar was named for the bird’s eye view it offers of the stage and courtyard. The sixth venue is an adult entertainment club, the Red Garter. A recent addition is Rick’s Loft, the most upscale at the complex, and it is a wine and martini bar. If you’re too warm, stop at The Mardi Gras Daiquiri Bar in the upstairs corner for a taste of New Orleans daiquiris.
