Sloppy Joe’s Bar

Since 1933, Sloppy Joe’s hospitable staff has welcomed patrons daily. Visiting the internationally known bar, guests are instantly enveloped by the history of Sloppy Joe’s and Key West. Sloppy Joe’s has been at its location on Duval Street and Greene since 1937. The bar opens at 9:00 AM and doesn’t close until 4:00 AM. Surely during a vacation there will be time during these 19 hours to stop by and see this piece of history and shop at the retail store that is full of clothing and souvenirs.

After breakfast and Blood Marys, watch morning turn into day while at Sloppy Joe’s. The live entertainment begins at noon, which means it is time for a large lunch with more drinks. The action on Duval Street slows during the afternoon, and people stop into the bar to relax, unwind, and drink cold cocktails to beat the heat. The live music does not stop for any sort of siesta here. In addition to the main bar, Joe’s Tap Room features various crafted beers on tap with big screen TVs so no sports games go missed during vacation. Tables in the main room are cleared for dancing during the night for the best party in town.
